Wholeness

There's hollowness in fullness
there's poverty in richness
there's sadness behind that loud laughter
there's a scar in that beauty
on the soul, if not on the face,
there's kindness in death, sometimes
there's mostly nothing as a whole,
something is always missing
like that one last piece
     in a jigsaw puzzle.
If you're lucky, you'll find it
like some of them have,
and you will know,
life is meant to be meaningful,
     not glittery.
