Her photograph with a caption she posts
the two unrelated as a pencil to the internet
but the photograph draws a hundred likes
and the caption there pointlessly lies
A gem of literature she thought she wrote;
you search up the caption and there she’s caught.
These pictures drown in a pool of comments
from people she proudly flaunts as followers
She’s fine with them following her there
but not if they follow her in a street late night
for then they would scare her wild enough
to shame the same who fuel her pride.
Flattery clouds her vision and thinking
and no one tells her that showing too much skin
doesn’t fix an ugly face and it remains the same
The likes in her pictures are not how much she’s liked
The effort to woo followers summons lusty eyes
while these thoughts probably never cross her mind.
