“Sometimes the smallest things take up the most room in our hearts.”
A baby girl is one of the most beautiful miracles in life, one of the greatest joys you can ever feel, and one of the reasons why there is a little extra sunshine, laughter and happiness in your world today. I realized this when I was gifted with a cute, little, tiny cousin named “Cherry”. True to her name, she is indeed a lively cherry, bringing a delight and awe to everyone around. Now she is just a bit more than a year old, armed with 10-12 teeth, an exotic fragrance (which you won’t find anywhere else in this world) and ten fingernails that seem to be made up of glossy plastics. Sometimes she still smells like milk as most of the newborn babies do. May be, even the milky scent doesn’t want to leave her so soon.
Last summer, by the time I met Cherry, she had just learnt to walk on her own and I had the privilege of clicking a few photographs of her while she was exhibiting her newly acquired walking skills in the parking bay. It was an exhilarating experience for me to see a toddler walking like a pro. She often displayed smiles of contempt for being “successful” in her new endeavour. The smiles would occasionally turn into laughter when she would suddenly slip but not fall, like when you accidentally drop your phone but your headphones save it from hitting the ground.
Back then, Cherry could pronounce just 2-3 words, but was an expert in posing for the camera. Her expertise is clearly seen in the upcoming 10 pictures of Cherry which will delight you and make you want to have a baby like Cherry in your place:
