If you could un-invent something, what would it be?

If I could un-invent something,
it would be money.

I envy the birds and animals
who live so freely,
sans the need to work to earn,
no materialistic possessions
or rat-race to win,
the only challenge is to survive the day
unlike humans
embroiled in
stress, overwork, overtime,
expectations, hope, and
despair.

Money is such a
prolific differentiator,
made into a necessary evil
by us, humans,
and the sad thing is
there’s nothing we can do now;
the only way out is
through.
