they commit many wrongs 
take sinful paths 
harm innocent souls, 
yet get the best out of life, 
live it to the fullest 
scale new heights 
accomplish accolades 
beyond your comprehension. 

That makes you wonder - 
How? 
Why? 

Then you imitate them, 
you try to be harsh, immoral, 
conniving, selfish, 
and you fail being them 
you fail to be fortunate like them, 
you couldn't outlive your true self, 
you couldn't be that bad. 

So you go back to your good ways 
with a bad name 
earned from your ephemeral pursuit 
of being a badass, 
and you hope for karma to strike, 
for that's all 
that gives you solace now.
